Here we were trialling the JBL PRX One PA system. The midrange and upper frequencies were fantastic. I loved that this does not have the usual JBL spittiness (excessive high frequency output). The bass was definitely there and would be fantastic for indoor events. But outside there was no punch in the bottomw end. Luckily, I had some JBL 18 inch subs available. I added these subs to the system and got the puch back.
If I were starting again with a PA system, I'd be very tempted to base everything around the PRX One. It's very flexible, projects well and sounds great. When I need to do larger outdoor events I can just add some subs.
Mr Henry is a fantastic venue. The food and service is top-knotch. Definitely worth the short drive from Auckland.
